ABOUT THE
TRADER
Lowell W. Tatkin is an
attorney specializing in business and tax matters. He is a member of the
California and Hawaii state bar associations. Lowell received an A.B. in
Geography from the University of California at Los Angeles ("UCLA") in 1969, an
M.A. in Geography from UCLA in 1972, an M.B.A. and J.D. from UCLA in 1979, and
an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 1981.
His trading
method combines technical and fundamental indicators to monitor
and analyze the market and initiate trades based on factors such as price
patterns, volatility and momentum. Under this system, trades are executed in a
manner designed to maximize reward and limit risk. In order to do so, the
system determines a projected target price based upon a recent primary move
(either up or down) of the commodity's price. The system then aims to enter a
trade during a period in which the price retraces a portion of its primary
move.
What distinguishes this system from others is that
Lowell has
developed a proprietary indicator that predicts with precision where the
retracement will end, allowing for an extremely low risk entry. The exit for
the trade will occur when either (i) the price reaches the target, or (ii) the
price reaches the stop loss. Lowell follows stringent money management
rules, such as using strict buy and sell stops to limit potential losses on a
per trade basis. These rules are integral to his goal of preserving
subscribers' equity. Another unique aspect of the system is the
ability to exit profitable trades in a non-systematic manner. Lowell feels
that protecting profits is more important than being ideologically pure in
entering and exiting trades in a strict systematic manner.
In addition to the live signal service, Lowell
offers a one-on-one training seminar to those wishing to learn his
system. The cost of the seminar is $4,995
(subject to a rebate) and training is offered live, via the internet, eliminating travel
costs often associated with such programs.
